Zume for Zambia
Zume is an international benefit race for orphans in Zambia. Running against their American peers the orphans will raise money through pledges and sponsors for the completion of their own children's village.
In January 2010 the children's village in Lusaka, Zambia opened rescuing 22 orphans whose family systems had been wiped out by AIDs. When completed the village will house 200 orphans and include homes, health clinic, a school, and other amenities.
More information can be found on the website Zume for Zambia. Proceeds from the film festival will benefit this cause.
